RegTech site that explains GRC in one scroll
About project
Website Redesign · Website Design
PolicyWatch is a RegTech platform selling compliance monitoring to teams managing multi-framework GRC programmes. Legal counsel, CISOs, and compliance leads each evaluate different questions before booking a demo. GRC buying involves multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities. When the site organises pages by product modules and insider language, first-time visitors cannot tell who it is for, which frameworks it supports, or what breaks without it, so demo requests stall and discovery calls start with scope confusion.
Challenges & approach
Problem
PolicyWatch's site organised pages by product modules and insider language. First-time visitors could not tell audience fit, supported frameworks, or operational pain addressed. Sales spent discovery calls explaining the homepage instead of running demos. RegTech buyers shortlist vendors who answer role-specific questions in one scroll before requesting access.
Solution
We reorganised by buyer need with audience fit, regulatory pain, and post-signup workflow as primary entry points. Feature pages use progressive disclosure so technical evaluators can go deep while decision-makers get a one-scroll path to demo. Page structure supports keywords prospects search when shortlisting GRC platforms.
What we focused on
Role-based page structure
Legal, risk, and IT stakeholders each get paths matched to their evaluation questions. Decision-makers find outcome and fit while technical buyers can access framework depth without blocking the demo path.
Progressive disclosure for GRC depth
Feature detail is available without forcing every visitor through module jargon on the homepage. Technical evaluators drill down while executives reach demo booking after understanding scope in one scroll.
Framework and pain clarity
Supported frameworks and regulatory pain points appear where buyers validate fit during shortlist review. Copy explains what breaks without the platform instead of abstract compliance marketing language.
Demo-first conversion path
One structured demo request replaces scattered contact options. Qualified prospects arrive understanding workflow fit so sales runs demos instead of re-explaining the product homepage.
Search-aligned information architecture
Meta titles and page grouping support keywords prospects use when evaluating compliance tools. Structure matches comparison-stage queries during GRC platform shortlisting.
Process
We ran discovery with sales and mapped the demo request journey, then rebuilt information architecture and page messaging around buyer roles before launch.
Discovery
Sales interviews showed prospects arrived confused about scope and audience fit. We mapped questions that had to be answered before a demo request made sense for each stakeholder type.
Customer and competitor research
Competing RegTech sites that convert lead with role-based entry and plain outcome copy. We applied that structure to PolicyWatch's actual workflow, not generic SaaS templates.
Information architecture and messaging
Pages were grouped by buyer need, not product module. Meta titles and structure support keywords prospects search when evaluating compliance and GRC monitoring tools.
UX design and conversion journey
Wireframes balanced executive scan paths with technical depth tabs. Demo forms capture role and framework context so sales prepares relevant proof before the call.
Search/local visibility foundations
Page structure and headings target RegTech comparison queries. Content answers evaluation questions buyers use when building a GRC vendor shortlist from organic search.
Launch tracking optimisation
Demo requests were tracked by role and source from launch. Reporting focused on whether discovery calls shortened as visitors arrived with clearer product understanding.

Based structure
Decision-makers and technical buyers each get a path matched to what they need before contacting sales.

1
Demo path
One primary demo action per page replaced competing CTAs that stalled multi-stakeholder evaluation.
