RewardLoop is a customer loyalty SaaS platform sold to marketing and ecommerce teams who expect API-first integrations, self-serve trials, and pricing transparency. They shop the same way they evaluate Shopify, Klaviyo, and retention stack tools. Loyalty SaaS buyers check integrations, validate event-based rules, skim pricing, then start a trial rather than book a sales call first. When the product has moved on but the marketing site still pushes calendar-led enterprise demos and hides integration proof, trial sign-ups stall.

Challenges & approach

Problem

RewardLoop's product supported PLG buying but the marketing site pushed calendar-led enterprise demos and hid integration proof. Retention teams abandon vendors who bury Shopify, POS, and CRM connectors behind contact forms. Competing CTAs and long forms create friction for marketers researching between campaigns on mobile.

Solution

We aligned the site with how retention teams evaluate vendors: integration logos and API capability before the form, customer language instead of internal product taxonomy, shorter trial signup, and mobile layouts for marketers researching between campaigns. One self-serve trial path replaced competing CTAs.

What we focused on

Integration-first homepage proof

Shopify, POS, and CRM logos appear before the trial form because retention teams validate stack fit first. API capability signals sit where technical evaluators look during vendor shortlisting.

Self-serve trial path

One shortened trial signup replaces calendar-first enterprise flows. PLG buyers start evaluation on their timeline instead of waiting for a sales slot to see basic product fit.

Customer language copy

Manifesto and internal taxonomy were replaced with terms marketing teams use for retention, loyalty rules, and campaign triggers. Copy matches how buyers search and compare loyalty vendors.

Mobile-ready evaluation

Trial signup and product tour work on phone because marketers research stack additions between campaigns. Layout prioritises scannable proof and one primary trial action.

Pricing signal visibility

Tier signals and usage framing moved where buyers self-qualify before trial. Retention teams evaluate budget fit early in the same motion they use for adjacent martech tools.

Process

We ran usability sessions with marketing and ecommerce leads, then rebuilt the homepage around the words customers used, not internal product vocabulary.

Discovery

Five usability sessions with marketing and ecommerce leads revealed the same requirement: show integrations and pricing signals before asking for a form fill.

Customer and competitor research

Modern loyalty platforms that convert lead with product tour, logos, and self-serve trial. RewardLoop was benchmarked against that PLG standard, not calendar-first enterprise patterns.

Information architecture and messaging

Pages ordered as integrations, use cases, pricing signals, trial. Copy switched to customer language and shorter forms aligned with how retention teams evaluate vendors.

UX design and conversion journey

Wireframes placed logos and tour before trial CTA. Mobile layouts were rebuilt so signup worked on phones without horizontal hunting or multi-step friction.

Search/local visibility foundations

Feature and integration pages target loyalty SaaS comparison queries. Structure supports how marketers search when adding retention tools to an existing stack.

Launch tracking optimisation

Trial sign-ups were tracked from launch with reporting on mobile versus desktop completion. Measurement focused on self-serve starts rather than calendar bookings alone.
